Atascadero is gearing up to host the Light Up Downtown and Art Wine Tour
The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce and the City of Atascadero are partnering to host an Art Wine Tour and Light Up Holiday Celebration downtown on Friday, December 2nd from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m., Art & Wine Tour ticket holders can begin shopping while sipping wine, beer, coffee or cider and enjoying holiday treats from more than 20 participating businesses in downtown Atascadero.
At 6:00 p.m., representatives of the City of Atascadero will join the community and count down to the Holiday Lighting of City Hall.
Santa and Mrs. Claus are set to appear on an antique Model-A fire engine to the tune of “Here Comes Santa Claus” performed by the Atascadero Academy of Fine Arts.
Additional entertainment will be offered by the Atascadero Community Band and Medina Light Show Designs.
Free hayrides from Harris Stage Lines and a Model-A fire engine from the Atascadero Fire Association will also be offered.
“This event is a great way to kick off the holiday season,” said Monts Cross, Art & Wine Tour event coordinator. – We are very happy to hold an Art & Wine Tour on the same evening as the city’s festive celebration. Everyone will find something for themselves in the city center on December 2.”
Tickets for the Art & Wine Tour are $25 until December 1st and $30 the day of the event.
Each ticket comes with a complimentary glass.
The “Light Up the City Center” holiday celebration is free and will be held in the Sunken Gardens area in front of the historic City Hall.
