Elon Musk may be on the fence about Twitter, but he knows exactly where he is politically … he’s becoming a complete Republican.
The richest man in the world says he is a longtime supporter of the Democratic Party, which he said used to be a “party of kindness”. But, he adds, “they have become a party of division and hatred, so I can no longer support them and will vote for the Republicans.”
Elon posted his political statement on Twitter on Wednesday – even like him still pondering a massive $ 44 billion purchase of the platform, which would seem to have stirred the water around this purchase.
As we reported, Musk believes that Twitter can become the flagship of freedom of speech … and has already stated that he considers the ban Donald Trump was wrong and that he let’s go back Twitter.
A post with his new Republican affiliation will definitely raise more than a few eyebrows … especially on Twitter.
So far Elon says he is still doing research on Twitter before pulling the trigger. As for his political turn, he says he now expects Democrats to launch a “campaign of dirty tricks” against him.
