Los Angeles shooting: At least 3 dead, others injured after deadly weekend violence in multiple US cities

At least three people have been killed and four others injured in a shooting in Los Angeles, following a spate of gun violence in several US cities.

Police responded to a home in downtown Los Angeles around 2:35 a.m. Saturday after receiving a report of an “assault with a deadly weapon,” according to cops.

Authorities found three people dead and four others critically injured at the scene near Beverly Hills, California.

Three of the victims were shot in a car, and the other four victims were standing outside their home when they were shot. KCAL reports.

Two of the victims took themselves to a medical center before being taken by EMS to a trauma hospital.

The other two injured were taken directly to UCLA Medical Center.

Four victims are reported to be in critical condition.

It’s the third mass shooting in the Golden State this week since 72-year-old Huu Kang Chan shot and killed 11 people who celebrated the New Year according to the lunar calendar died at the dance studio in Monterey Park on Jan. 21 before fatally shot himself.

There were seven people on Monday killed in shooting at farms in Half Moon Bay in northern California before the suspect, Chunli Zhao, 67, was taken into custody.

Later that night, eight more people were shot dead in a separate incident in Oakland.

One of the victims, an 18-year-old, died, and the other seven were injured, but their condition is stable.
