Pilot program Pop Up Patio
Pop Up Patio Program
In June 2020, the city of Fremont launched the Pop Up Patio program to allow restaurants, retailers and personal services to use outdoor space to do business during the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses can apply for the use of open space on public sidewalks; within public street parking; and / or in private off-street car parks. More than 70 businesses have taken advantage of the program to gain additional capacity to serve their customers outdoors.
The Pop Up Patio program is still accepting applications!

Permission to work in parks
The public service is now accepting Parks Business Permits (P-BOPs) to allow businesses, if permitted by the county, to use open temporary park spaces for fitness classes. Find out more at PBOP web page.
