The mural, which works for the Wide Open Walls festival, honors the four natives of the sacraments. Artist Matt Haynes of Twisted Track Gallery paints the faces of Joan Didion, Rasa Solomon, Levar Burton and Wayne Thibaut. “The sacrament is wonderful. I think these four people really represent it,” Haynes said. “Wide Open Walls celebrates the Sacrament and art, and that’s the difference.” Haynes added that he is a big fan of the people represented in this mural. “I’m a big fan of Ross Solomon and Wayne Thibaut, so seeing both of them in the mural behind my gallery is really special,” he said. The fresco is next to 12th and R. streets. Artists with wide open walls will continue to work Sunday.
