A fire near the Tulare resort of RV County is forcing an evacuation

TUALRE County, California (KFSN) – A fire has led to an evacuation taking place in Tular County.

Crews were called to the Eagle Nest RV Resort area on the outskirts of Porterville to report a fire a mile and a half from the resort.

The fire occurred near Highway 190 to the development center. The flames now jumped to the north side of the river.

Officials say at least 25 acres have burned and about 30 homes are under threat. The content jumped to 60%.

The evacuation continues in south East Porterville, between Springville Avenue and the river and east of Sunset Street.

CHP employees control the traffic, and firefighters put out the fire.
