A high school football player gets a big surprise when his Marine brother runs onto the field
The high school soccer player got the surprise of her life before Friday’s game when her older brother, who is serving in the Marine Corps in Arizona, walked onto the field. Jenna Kivlin plays left guard on the offensive line at Littleton High School, opening up lanes for her teammates as well as a tight end on the defensive line. Before the game, her brother, Sgt. Jake Kivlin ran onto the field and hugged his little sister as the crowd cheered and applauded. Watch the special moment in the video player above. It was a sweet surprise for Jenna, who said she knew she was ready to play when she was 8 years old. “For people who say she’s a football girl, I just think of her as one of my teammates,” senior running back Brian Mares said. “She’s almost like one of the guys. She fits in so well. Nobody treats her like a girl. Everyone’s going to hit her as hard as they can and she fights back, so it’s great to have her on the team. “We try not to think about being a girl. She’s just another teammate,” senior quarterback Brady DeCoste said. “I like that I get to fight through different things,” Jenna Kivlin said. “I’ve always liked proving people wrong.” .
