
Cadastre star, 32, among three killed in car crash
Rock star Andy Chavez was killed in a car crash Thursday morning, his bandmates confirmed.
The 32-year-old singer Katastro was among the three victims who died after a car collided with roadside equipment on a highway in the North Pacific in California.
Newport Beach police reportedly were called to the scene at around 12:45 a.m., where they unfortunately confirmed three deaths.
Chaus was quickly identified along with 34-year-old Crystal McCallum and 40-year-old Wayne Walter Swanson Jr.
It was also reported that three road workers who were standing nearby when the collision occurred, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A Newport Beach police statement said: “A car with three people traveling east on the PCH crashed into a curb in the middle and then crashed into road construction equipment.
Chavez members with a broken heart confirmed his death in a statement on Instagram.
They said: “We are completely devastated by being forced to announce the loss of our brother and singer Andy Chavez.
“Please respect the privacy of Andy’s family and band members as we all begin to handle this. Thank you for your love and support. ”
Responding to the publication, Dirty Heads singer and guitarist Dustin Bushnell wrote, “I love you guys. If you need anything at all, I’m here for you.”
The Exalted One with Rome also replied, saying, “Our prayers to you.”
