Food throwing is all the rage among European protesters – just ask these two Germans who messed up Monet a picture of a Thanksgiving meal … all in the name of climate change.

Watch the latest such demonstration here on video … a guy and a girl sneaked into the Barberini Museum in Potsdam, Germany and dumped a couple of buckets of mashed potatoes on Claude’s famous Les Meules painting, which is valued at around $109 million.

The alarm goes off and the onlookers are rightly surprised by the scene. The protestors kneel and the girl begins to chatter about climate change and public priorities.

She says they are doing this to continue to draw attention to the fact that fossil fuel use is destroying the planet and that there are people in the world who are starving – and that soon these two things will be connected as society struggles for food. Eventually, security bursts in.

That’s exactly what happened in London last week when another pair of climate activists threw up the tomato soup on a Van Gogh a painting that was valued at $85 million … and they were also arrested.

It’s a trend we’ve been seeing more and more recently – people somehow sneaking into items to deface priceless works of art and ruin them forever.

Even the Mona Lisa has been exposed to unwanted calories – something that apparently crosses the globe.
