California police say a 27-year-old youth counselor is accused of sexually assaulting a girl in a San Jose high school classroom.

A 27-year-old youth counselor faces multiple sexual assault charges related to an incident at a San Jose high school, California police said.

Silvio Yoc-Aguilar of San Jose worked as a councillor with New Hope for Youth at Hubbard High School, city police said in a Monday, Dec. 5, news release.

The girl told police Nov. 28 that Yoc-Aguilar had “inappropriate sexual contact” with her in a classroom at the school, according to the release.

Officers arrested him the next day at his San Jose home on a warrant, police said.

“Detectives believe there may be additional victims due to the suspect’s position as a trustee at the school,” police said in a news release.
