Don Lemon took a break California with his partner after it emerged he had “lost his mind” and was shouting at his colleagues in a second incident.
The CNN This morning the owner allegedly caused Kaitlan Collins to run off the set in tears Dec. 8 after he barked at her in front of a TV host and their other co-host.
Boss Chris Licht told him to take a day to “cool down,” but instead blasted employees after a company newsletter ran a story about his spat with a White House correspondent.
According to reports, Limon, 56, went “ballistic” at employees who highlighted the altercation with Collins. Radar Online – at the same time, the presenter claimed that she “interrupted him” during the December broadcast.
He is currently holidaying in Beverly Hills with his partner Tim Moloney, who posted a photo of the couple – ignoring the claims, leaving Lemon furious.

The couple eloped from New York to Los Angeles and seemed to be enjoying the sunshine in the Golden State and ignoring the drama unfolding at home.
Moloney, a real estate agent, posted a series of pictures that included an image of the popular “Bienvenidos Amigos” script on poles near the attraction’s entrance, the hotel’s parking lot and palm trees.
Collins, 30, CNN’s youngest chief White House correspondent, wants to be on set with the anchor “as little as possible” after the incident.
The altercation took place off-screen on December 8, leaving Collins “obviously upset” and other staff members “shocked” by his outburst.
Both Collins and Lemon are represented by agent Jay Sures, and their co-host Poppy Harlow witnessed the initial heated exchange.
Collins and Lemon have starred in the series since it began three months ago.
The pair and Harlow used to arrive at red carpets and events as a unit, but now they appear to be arriving separately and seem to want to stay away from each other.
While it’s unclear whether Collins interrupted Lemon on purpose, one source described him as “bossy” and “difficult to work with.”

The source added that he was given notes to talk less during the show and share the stage with Harlow and Collins.
Lemon had his own show, Don Lemon Tonight, before Licht canceled it and created a new morning show.
CNN boss Licht has previously promised to overhaul the company since he took over last year, but that doesn’t seem to have had much of an impact.
The company did not address the allegations, but Licht approved the shocking layoffs last year, leaving many employees in shock.

He moved Lemon from his primetime show to the morning show as host, changing the broadcasters’ talent.
It comes after podcast host Megyn Kelly predicted the Collins incident wasn’t the first time Lemon lost his cool on a co-worker, adding she suspects it won’t be the last either.
She told Lemon that she “better be careful,” adding that she would fire him if he pulled this on her, while also commenting that the show is “in its final stages before it’s even hit the early stages.”
