SALINAS VALLEY – Food on the wheels of the Salinas Valley started the annual 2022 Wine Lovers’ draw, the proceeds went to a food delivery program for seniors who came home to the area.

“It’s important that we continue our fundraising efforts to ensure that our seniors who come home are cared for and continue to receive weekly food supplies,” said MOWSV Executive Director Regina Gage. “We ask for your support as part of our annual Wine Lovers Race, as we look forward to the generosity of our community to continue to support our mission.”

The annual raffle is the main fundraiser for meals on wheels, celebrating the 50th anniversary of service to seniors across the Salinas Valley in 2022. Since 1972, the organization has been delivering food to elderly residents who are tied up at home and unable to shop and cook on their own.

Tickets can be purchased until May 26 by visiting mowsalinas.orgemail [email protected] to request an order form or call the office at 831-758-6325.

The lucky ticket draw will take place at MOWSV, 40 Clark St., Suite C, Salinas at 3pm on Thursday, May 26, and will be broadcast live Facebook. Ticket holders do not have to attend to win.

Each ticket purchase has a chance to win half a wine barrel filled with wines, snacks and other items worth more than $ 1,400.
