This is not the first time that Santa Clara, California native was in court over child support, which was reduced from $20,000 a month to $7,500 in late 2018.
Barnes, who was involved in the spitting incident earlier this year during an NFL playoff game, is the father of 14-year-old twins Carter and Isaiah with Havan, who is best known for appearing on the show Basketball Wives.
In 2021, Govan married Los Angeles Lakers tight end Derek Fisher in July 2021 at Cielo Farms in Malibu, California, after announcing their engagement in April 2018.

The latest: Matt Barnes, 43, has been ordered by a Los Angeles judge to pay ex-wife Gloria Govan, 38, more than $134,000 in child support.
Barnes, who played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, married Gavan in 2012 and separated two years later.
Barnes, who played in the league for 14 years, finalized his divorce from Gavan in 2016 after less than two years of marriage.
In the fall of 2018, Barnes was granted sole physical and legal custody of the children — and an 18-month restraining order against Havan — after an incident in which she was arrested for child endangerment.
In an incident on August 31, 2018, Gavan was accused of preventing Barnes from picking up the twins from school on a scheduled day care. Barnes claimed she used her car as a weapon and claimed he feared for his life and the lives of their sons Carter and Isaiah, TMZ reported at the time.
In court documents, Barnes alleged that Govan put their children and other children at the school in physical danger, and alleged that the twins were injured by the actions of the other and the subsequent arrest.
Charges were ultimately not brought against Govan, who denied the allegations.
The restraining order at the time required Havan to stay at least 100 yards away from the children and see them for four hours once a week in the presence of a professional observer, the publication reports in September 2018.
Govan was ordered to keep the peace when he was around Barnes during the child exchange.
She also was not allowed to take the children outside of Los Angeles County unless she received written permission from Barnes to do so under the terms of the restraining order.
