WASHINGTON – Now you can get more free tests on COVID-19 at home from the federal government.

The government first began offering free home tests in January. They announced that a second round could be sent in March.

And now that the cases are growing again, you can order the third round of free home tests on COVID-19.

This time there will be eight tests in each order. During the first and second stages of the free tests, people could order four tests per family.

Orders are now being accepted COVIDTests.gov.

“Your order of 8 tests will be delivered in 2 separate packages (4 tests each), each with its own tracking number. The packages will be delivered free of charge, ”the website says.

Earlier this month, a senior administration official said the government had passed about 400 million of the 1 billion free tests promised to Americans so far through the first and second rounds of free tests. The official said they expect several hundred million more to be used over the next few months.
