The staff at Ghost Adventures are upping the ante for the spooktacular season – we’ve got exclusive footage of the moment the ‘ghost chair’ appears and disappears.

An apparent find appears in a two-part episode about the abandoned and infamous Los Feliz Murder House, where Dr. Harold Perelson killed his wife in 1959 with a ball hammer and brutally beat his daughter before killing himself.

The equipment that the ‘GA’ team used in the creepy mansion makes it even more exciting.

Zach Bagans TMZ reports that the ghost chair was captured while the chairs were the focus of the experiment – “Everyone had a chair that was on different floors of the house and we connected everyone’s energy together using those chairs in the challenge experiment.”

His take on what you’re seeing here is this: “It’s as if Dr. Perelson, who we called in, literally pulled up a chair himself to join our experiment.”

They used a technique called LiDAR, which uses a laser to scan objects or surfaces, measuring the time it takes for the reflected light to bounce off … basically, 3-D laser scanning.

The chair seemed to appear and disappear during the laser scan, despite the fact that there was no seat in the room being scanned.

Hunters highlight the fact that the equipment scans real objects down to the “millimeter” … making the ghost chair look like nothing they’ve ever seen.

Act says: “This is one of the most stunning pieces of scientific evidence we’ve ever captured in Ghostbusters history, made even stronger by the fact that it was obtained by an accredited third-party LiDAR scanning company.”
