Goleta Beach is partially reopening
On Thursday, February 9, Santa Barbara County partially reopened Goleta Beach County Park after the January 2023 storms.
The area between the park entrance and the pier will have parking, grills, beach access and restrooms open from sunrise to sunset.
Due to storm damage, the east end parking lot and pier will remain closed for several weeks as repairs and assessments are carried out before it is safe to reopen.
The western part of the park will remain closed due to ongoing emergency work on the beach.
Work in this area will continue Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and park visitors should be aware of large trucks entering and leaving the park.
