In less than four hours, two homicides were reported in San Jose

San Jose police are investigating two murders a few hours after the death of a man shot dead early Monday morning.

Officers called at 3:08 p.m. to the 400th quarter of South 10th Street, near the campus of San Jose State University.

In a press release, San Jose police said two people were shot dead. One person received life-threatening injuries and later died. Another received life-threatening injuries.

The death was the 10th homicide this year in San Jose, police said. Late Sunday night the woman was stabbed.

In an unrelated case, the woman died after she was found murdered late Sunday night in San Jose.

Officers responded at 11:20 p.m. to quarter 5200 on Faith Lane after someone reported a man on earth.

According to police, officers found a woman with at least one stab wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. According to police, the suspect is at large.

Individual killings became the ninth and 10th homicides in the city in a year.
