A young man has been ordered to pay compensation for a 16-year-old girl’s injury after he punched her in the head at Irwin’s brothel.

20-year-old James Smith has admitted that he attacked a young lady during an event at the Irvine Volunteer Rooms on February 5 this year – presumably the Kilmaurs Young Farmers Club “Neds and Nerds Dance”.

He also admitted to resisting detention and fighting brutally with officers – pleading not guilty to two other charges against prosecutors.

Smith of Roebank Road, Bate, was fined £ 400 and ordered to pay £ 300 in compensation to the victim when he appeared in Sheriff Kilmarnack’s court on Thursday, May 12th.

The Scottish Police can be contacted at 101 – always call 999 in an emergency.
