Jeremy Renner continues her comeback after breaking more than 30 bones in a New Year’s snowplow accident near Lake Tahoe in Nevada.
Academy Award-nominated actor, 52 – who was heard in agony on a 911 call after the crash – took to Instagram on Sunday to snap a picture of his physical therapy process as he continues to recover from the catastrophic incident.
Modesto, California Native posted an image of the resistance bands with the caption “Physical Therapy Sunday” with a folded arms emoji.
The actor from “Avengers” continues his treatment Los Angeles home after a Jan. 1 incident in which Nevada officials said he injured his chest when he was hit by a seven-ton Pistenbully snowmobile while trying to help a relative move their car.
Since the accident, Renner has continued to talk to fans about his projects, promoting the Paramount Plus series Mayor of Kingstown as well as the upcoming Disney+ series Renervations.

“So excited to share the #rennervations show on @disneyplus with you very soon!!!” he said in a message on Saturday. As soon as I get back on my feet, we’ll be coming to YOU all over the world… I hope you’re ready!!!’
The four-part original series focuses on Renner’s “lifelong desire to give back to communities around the world by reimagining unique custom-built vehicles to meet the needs of the community,” the streaming service said in December.
It continued: “Behind the big screen, Jeremy is a construction enthusiast and has invested heavily in the highly creative maker culture that exists around the world and hopes to change lives with these skills and inspire others to do the same.”
In a social media post on Jan. 21, the actor said he has “so much love and gratitude” for his fans who have sent “messages and thoughtfulness” following the horrific accident.
“These 30-plus broken bones will heal and become stronger as love and connection with family and friends deepen,” Renner said.
The ‘Hawkeye’ star said his ‘morning workouts’ and ‘resolutions changed this particular new year’ after the accident, ’caused a tragedy for my whole family and quickly focused on making love work together.’
Last month, the actor returned home from the hospital to recover from the accident.
The actor is reportedly aware of the extent of his injuries and has a long road to recovery ahead of him,” said a source. Radar Online last month, his friends said it could be up to two years before he is back in combat shape.

Renner is getting a head massage at the hospital after a terrible snowplow accident

On New Year’s Day, Renner was repairing a broken-down car when he was hit by a 14,330-kilogram snowplow, leaving him in critical condition

Renner was airlifted to a local hospital near his Lake Tahoe home shortly after the accident
“It’s a lot worse than anyone can imagine. Jeremy is well aware of the fact that he almost died there,” the source said. “The right side of Jeremy’s chest was crushed and his upper torso collapsed. He also had a severe head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury.
“The damage to Jeremy’s chest was said to be so extensive that it had to be surgically reconstructed.”
Emergency services had to take the TV star to hospital, where he later underwent surgery on January 2 to put metal pins around his legs, as well as surgery on his chest.
“He has had two operations so far and will probably need more on his leg in the coming weeks. Doctors tend to stagger surgeries to allow time for the body’s natural healing process, and that’s the case here,” the source continued.
“Jeremy was in a lot of pain and had trouble breathing. He knew he was in bad shape and might not get out of it.”
Over the past few weeks, Renner has sent fans on the road to recovery by posting a series of updates.
A few days after the accident, Renner took a selfie showing his visibly bruised face with the caption: “Thank you all for the kind words.” I’m too confused to type. But I send love to you all.’
The star later shared a video of himself being pampered by his supportive sister and mother as they give him a relaxing scalp massage.
A “not so big” day of rehab that turned into a wonderful spa day with my sister and mom. Thank you very much,” he wrote in the caption of his tweet.
Last month, the Marvel star shared hospital photos of what appeared to be him taken for CT scan or MRI.
Captioning a video of him being led to a large high-tech imaging machine, Renner wrote: “I wish you all a very special night.”
