Josh Dagar has “sexual inclinations towards older girls”, prosecutors explain to judge
A week before the sentencing of Josh Dagar for juvenile delinquency, the prosecution in his case filed a couple of motions with the Western District of Arkansas Federal Court in Fayetteville.
These lawyers did so in response to the fact that Dagar’s defense team issued its own memorandum of sentence back on May 11th.
In this note, the lawyers of the convicted sexual violence wrote that only their client deserves to serve five years in prison.
In response, the prosecutor’s office is now trying to bring down the arguments of their opponents – a ridiculous point.
For example:
Earlier this month, the defense objected to the fact that the material Josh downloaded from his work computer was labeled “sadistic” or “masochistic.”
On May 18, however, a government statement claimed that “Dugar had downloaded several videos depicting just that” and continued with explicit descriptions of specific files … including some containing “unconditionally sadistic violence” against young girls.
“Daggar is not trying to fight this evidence or the controlling precedent,” the petition said. “And his objection should be overturned in the court record.”
As previously reported, a video shown during the trial of Dagar was shown rape of an 18-month-old girl.
Meanwhile, the defense claimed that Duggar downloaded 127 images, while the prosecution has repeatedly stated that there are in fact more than 600.
Elsewhere, Josh’s lawyers objected to Dagar’s past being used against him, citing allegedly “unreliable reports from a tabloid magazine” regarding allegations that Daggar abused children when he was a teenager.
The fact is that … In 2015, Daggar confessed to the harassment children when he was a teenager, including his sisters.
Fun (and, let’s face it, depressingly), the prosecutor’s office wrote in its rebuttal that these incidents were “confirmed by the selfish testimony of his own father.”
Indeed, Jim Bob Dagar testified in his son’s trial and was forced to discuss it while he helped hide Dagar’s horrific crimes all that time ago.
Speaking of Josh’s family members … the defense raised the following letters written by Michelle Daggar and Anna Dagar claiming that Josh is a “devoted family man” as well as a man of “faith”.
These letters claim that Josh deserves a lenient sentence.
The prosecution, however, vehemently denies these classifications of sexual rapists.
His official response even states that Dagar himself noted that he “grew up in front of TV cameras” and seems to believe that his crimes are “related to the problems of being a child whose daily life is viewed by the public.” and, in some cases, being criticized by the media and complete strangers. “
Translation?
Josh tried to blame his pedophilia for a struggle he could face in the spotlight.
And the prosecution simply DIDN’T have that, responding to passages that deserve to be highlighted:
These allegations only underscore the validity of the government’s sentencing recommendation.
Indeed, his supportive family and public and privileged lifestyle make his model of criminal behavior even more obscure.
Despite reaching a certain level of fame through adult reality television, he is currently better known for his behavior outside of family shows, including sexual obscenity and criminal sexual behavior.
More importantly, none of these letters have a meaningful fight against his crimes or sexual inclinations towards girls of advanced age.
At least one of them believes that the “enemies” threatened by his “silent demonstration of conservative values” are aimed at him, while promoting his impossible theory that he was framed by an “unscrupulous young man.”
Many others describe his condemnation as a whole as an accident – something that just befell him, even though he tried to avoid it.
This is exactly the problem.
In the absence of some admission by Dugar of his crimes and his need to pursue a strong and long-standing sexual interest in children, it is unlikely that he will ever see his conviction as anything other than proof that he needs to be more cautious and secretive. . the next time he is involved in behaviors related to child sexual abuse.
Simply put, this last paragraph states that Josh will probably try to commit further sexual crimes if he is released from prison.
The government cited studies showing that sex offenders “are four times more likely than other violent offenders to re-commit their crimes.”
The filing of the application ended with the court asking to reject the objections of the defense team.
This is again a maximum sentence of 20 years is recommended.
We will learn about the measures of Josh Dagar’s punishment on May 25.
