Justin Rose claimed his first win in FOUR YEARS at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am… as the Englishman edged out American pair Brendan Todd and Brendan Wu to claim the $1.62 million prize in California.

Justin Rose earned his first victory in four years with a three-shot victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in a delayed finish in California.

England’s Rose had a two-shot lead when play was suspended on Sunday due to darkness, having played nine holes in the final round and made an eagle and two birdies.

After recovering on Monday, the 42-year-old added more birdies at the 11th, 13th and 14th en route to a 66 as he moved to 18 to mark his first success since winning the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open year.

Rose’s closest opponents were Americans Brandon Todd and Brandon Wu in the under-15s.

Rose told CBS: “Time flies, doesn’t it — it’s amazing how long it’s been. This is just a moment to say thank you to the people who believe in me more than I do.

“My team has been incredible, obviously my family at home – Kate, Leo, Lottie, this is for you, I want you here with me. What a place to win a tournament, unbelievable.

“As for my team, I’ve had a lot of people rallying around me and I’ve had an incredible week. My partner James Gorman does too. An incredible week from start to finish with a lot going on in my favour.”

Ireland’s Seamus Power tied for 15th on nine under, while the professional side of the tournament, which concluded at the weekend, saw former Wales footballer Gareth Bale and playing partner Joseph Bramlett tied for 16th from a three-round 16-under total.
