APPLEVALLY, CA (VVNG.com) — Authorities are investigating after a juvenile was shot multiple times Wednesday in Apple Valley.
It happened around 4:10 p.m. on September 21, 2022, near an apartment complex on Kiyamichi Road near Broken Bow Road.
Firefighters from Apple Valley Fire responded to the incident and requested an airship to transport the gunshot victim to the trauma center.
Sergeant Marshall James of the Apple Valley Station told VVNG that a juvenile male, approximately 17 years old, was shot and killed multiple times and all involved were on foot.
“Details of why this happened are still unknown, but it appears that several people fled the scene. We are still trying to determine who the potential suspect may be,” said Sgt. Marshal.
The victim was conscious and talking to officers at the scene before being taken to a hospital for treatment, according to Sgt. “The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time, but we hope he is OK.”
