Kern County probation arrests suspects, weapons confiscated News

On Monday, a press release from the Kern County Probation Department on the arrest and confiscation of firearms and drugs announced the arrest and confiscation.

Officers assigned to the Kern County Probation Division’s Probation Division conducted a call home on Thursday in the 300th quarter of Arvin Street in Bakersfield.

While there, officers contacted 22-year-old Anthony Bishop, who is under joint surveillance after his release, and 34-year-old Chandra Jeffries, who is on mandatory probation. During the search, officers found a 12-caliber rifle, a special .38 revolver, ammunition of many calibers, four grams of suspected methamphetamine and various other weapons, according to a press release.

Bishop and Jeffries were arrested on suspicion of drug and gun crimes, as well as probation.
