The deadline to sign up for California health insurance for 2023 is Tuesday, January 31.
Covered California is a state marketplace where you can purchase affordable insurance with financial assistance.
In the 10 years since the program was available, the number of uninsured Californians has fallen from 17% to 7%.
“The real advantage is that we’re the one-stop shop for financial help to lower the cost of your insurance,” said Jessica Altman, executive director of Covered California. — Ninety percent of people covered by Covered California today receive financial assistance. They receive an average of almost $500 per month from their monthly premium, which covers an average of more than 80% of the cost of their monthly insurance.”
The deadline for applications is Tuesday midnight.
Altman says you can apply online at coverca.com and as long as the process starts before midnight, you will be able to complete the registration process.
