Man killed in “quarrel” at Roseville Hampton Inn and Suites, suspect arrested

According to police, an investigation is underway after the murder of a man as a result of a “quarrel” in Rosville. One person was arrested. The incident happened just before 3 a.m. Monday in the 100th quarter of North Sunrise Avenue. Police have confirmed this is the first murder of the year for Rosville. The first investigation revealed that a quarrel took place between the two men. According to police, one of the men died at the scene and the other fled in a car. By 3 p.m., 21-year-old Andrew Aguiar of Sacramento had been taken into custody, the Rosville Police Department said. He was jailed by South Placer on charges of murder and assault. On Tuesday, police announced they had arrested another suspect, 19-year-old Shirley J. Horton of Sacramento, on charges of complicity in a crime. Recently, the hotel was converted into a homeless shelter in Rosville. Investigators are watching CCTV videos and interviewing other homeless guests to determine what caused the violence.
