Meghan Markle added a lemon cake recipe to a charity cookbook
Meghan Markle has shared her lemon cake recipe with a charity cookbook due out later this year.
The Duchess of Sussex41, who now lives in her $14 million mansion in California stepping down from her royal duties, used lemons harvested from her own garden to prepare a treat for World Central Kitchen in March 2021.
And in a message posted on the royal family’s Archewell website this week, the couple announced that she had contributed the recipe to The World Central Kitchen Cookbook: Feeding Humanity, Feeding Hope.
The organization, run by their friend, Spanish chef José Andre, works around the world “using food to empower communities and strengthen economies,” providing hot meals to people in need around the world.
José is a personal friend of the Sussexes – as well as appearing on the first episode of the couple’s podcast alongside other prolific personalities such as Sir Elton John, the chef took part in Meghan Markle’s recent birthday campaign . The initiative, called 40×40, called on 40 of her friends to dedicate 40 minutes of their time to help mentor women who have lost their jobs due to Covid.

According to an announcement on Archewell’s website, the book is a “fascinating collection of stories and recipes from celebrity chefs, local chefs and friends of the global nonprofit.”
All funds received by the author will go to support WCK’s emergency response efforts.
In March 2021, as well as sending the lemon cake, Meghan wrote a letter to the recipients in which she wrote:Sometimes we overlook the importance of expressing gratitude and showing appreciation.
“Perhaps now more than ever we understand that fundamental human moments like sharing a meal fill us with more than just food (even if that food is delicious!).
Until then, we hope you enjoy the offer we have prepared for you – a small token of thanks from our house to yours.
“Through this effort, we hope to show that when we all participate, even the smallest actions can have a ripple effect. Even individual actions can affect us all.”
This is not the first time Archewell has worked with WCK. This non-profit organization was Archewell’s first charitable partnership, which was announced back in December 2020.
In 2021, WCK announced the completion of the first of the centers, located in the Caribbean island nation of Dominica, supported by Archevell.
Today’s announcement comes as it is revealed that Meghan may be bringing back her health and lifestyle blog, Tig.

According to an announcement on Archewell’s website, the book is “a fascinating collection of stories and recipes from celebrity chefs, local chefs and friends of the global nonprofit.”
In accordance with A mirrorduchess, 41 years official pre-authorization for the revival of the lifestyle website.
She launched the “passion project” in 2014, but shut it down after her engagement to Prince Harry in 2017.
The fashion, health and wellness advice website could compete with Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop website, which is reportedly worth 200 million pounds.
Perhaps ironically, given the difficulties with her own family and in-laws, it is believed that the mother-of-two could also become a tormented aunt.
Details from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office indicate that she can share “comments in the area of personal relationships.”
The website is set to go live as early as next week and could be the last money-making venture for the Duke and Duchess after they were stripped of royal funds.
Insiders say Meghan is hoping to compete with Gwyneth’s mega-successful website, which deals in lucrative New Age luxuries such as scented vaginal candles.
Meghan founded The Tig, named after her favorite red wine, in 2014 while starring in legal drama Suits.

It featured advice on nutrition, wellness, fashion, travel, fashion, art, design and conscious living.
An avid foodie, she’s also shared recipes as well as makeup and beauty tips, travel tips and interviews with her celebrity friends, including tennis star Serena Williams and actress Priyanka Chopra.
Meghan talked about the website in a recent Netflix series of Sussexes, saying: “It wasn’t just a hobby, it became a really successful business.”
She said: “I’ve never been the kind of person to do just one thing, I guess that’s how my website was born.
“There was fashion, lots of food and travel – all the things I loved.”
And while Meghan shut down her old blog in 2017 to minimize public scrutiny ahead of marrying into the royal family, Nick Eade told MailOnline that he now sees it as the key to future success.
