Michael Douglas it has been three years since his death father of movie star Kirk Douglas on Instagram this week.

Kirk, one of the reigning icons of Old Hollywood, lived to his death in February 2020 at the age of 103.

He is buried next to his second wife Ann Bidens in Westwood, California.

It was there that 78-year-old Michael was spotted in a new video posted on Instagram.

The star was seen sitting alone on a stone bench near Kirk and Ann’s shared grave as he brought white flowers.

“What an extraordinary couple they were,” Michael said, his voice filled with emotion.

The husband of Chicago star Catherine Zeta-Jones, 53, then added: “I miss them both so much.”

Sadly, Kirk and Anna’s gravestone also marks the resting place of their son Eric, who struggled with drug addiction for years.

He died of an accidental overdose in 2004 at the age of just 46.

Prior to his relationship with Ann Kirk, he was married to actress Diane Dill, with whom he met Michael in 1944.

Michael used his latest post to plug the Douglas Archive.

This is an online collection of materials such as photographs, press clippings, and letters documenting Kirk and Anne’s work in film, politics, and philanthropy.

The archive is under the auspices of the Douglas Foundation, a charity founded by Kirk and Anne in 1964.

His website says the company works with organizations that strive to provide fairer access to education, healthcare and the arts.

The official mission statement adds, “Guided by the philanthropic goals of its founders, Anne and Kirk Douglas, the Foundation is particularly focused on improving the lives of children and women in California.”

In recent years, Kirk Douglas’ legacy has come under scrutiny due to allegations that he raped Natalie Wood when she was a teenager.

The claim was made by Natalie’s sister Lana Wood in her book Little Sister: My Investigation into the Mysterious Death of Natalie Wood.

As publicity swirled around the allegation in late 2021, Michael issued a statement through his publicist, simply saying, “May they both rest in peace.”

It comes after Michael turned the premiere of his latest Ant-Man film into a family affair on Sunday.

The two-time Oscar winner took his glamorous wife with him Zeta-Jones and his son Dylan starry red carpet for the Los Angeles screening of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania.

Zeta-Jones made sure all eyes were on her in a dramatic black and gold dress, which was short in the front, revealing her towering black high heels.

The couple’s 22-year-old son also joined in on the fun, heading out for a night out with his famous parents.

Michael proudly hugged his son, holding his wife’s hand tightly on the red carpet.

Zeta-Jones and Douglas married in 2000. Douglas and Zeta-Jones have Dylan and their 19-year-old daughter Carys.

Dylan recently graduated from Brown University last year when his sister was also in college, though it’s not clear where.

Michael also has a son from a previous relationship with Diandra Luker named Cameron.

A number of the film’s other stars, including Paul Rudd, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton and Jonathan Majors, also attended the event.

The third standalone Ant-Man film focuses on Scott Lang Rudd and his compatriots exploring the quantum realm, a place “where they interact with strange creatures and embark on adventures beyond what they thought possible, according to the film IMDb page.

Douglas reprises his role as Dr. Hank Pym, which he first played in 2015’s Ant-Man, as well as in the second Ant-Man movie and Avengers: Endgame.

The star of “Fatal Attraction” will soon have several more projects where he will play a couple of famous Americans.

In one of the series called “Reagan and Gorbachev”, Douglas will play former US President Ronald Reagan.
