BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The Speedboat Club of Southern California is bringing some of the fastest boats in the country to Min Lake this weekend. Over the course of two days, September 24th and 25th, race fans can watch the best drivers from around the country compete against each other for a chance to win.
The U.S. Absolute Speed & Marine National Championship on Min Lake will feature Crackerboxes, Sportsman Extreme Runabouts and GPS 105 Flatbottoms, Grand Nationals and K Racing Runabouts, as well as a variety of limited Sportsman and Junior Outboard classes. Riders in each of these classes will compete for national championship titles.
The public is invited to enjoy the Min Lake Sprint Boat Race on one of the best courses in the country. Admission to the event is $10 for adults, $5 for children, and free for children under 5. Spectator parking will be available in the lot opposite the main gate.
Practice begins at 9:00 a.m. and racing begins at 10:30 a.m. on both days. For more information you can visit Southern California Speedboat Club website.
