One killed, another injured after they fell on the sand on the beach of New Jersey

One teenager was killed and another was injured in a landslide on a beach in Toms River, New Jersey, when a couple dug a large hole in the sand.

Like the police reportedofficers arrived at the scene around 4:10 p.m. local time to rescue two “minors who were trapped in the sand when he collapsed around them while digging.”

Toms River Police said there were several units and an ambulance at the scene and told the public to stay away from the area.

One of the teenagers, a 17-year-old girl, was rescued and assisted at the scene. Her brother, another teenager, is identified ABC 7 New York as an 18-year-old native of Maine, died of his injuries.
