Paul Mescal cut a dashing figure as he attended the 95th Annual Oscar Dinner for the nominees at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California ion monday.

The 27-year-old actor was dressed in a charcoal gray suit, while the star wore an open jacket to reveal his white top underneath.

For the evening, he opted for smart black pumps and posed casually with his hand in his pocket as he arrived at the party.

The Irish star is nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of Calum Aaron Patterson in After the Sun.

He made the statement after learning of the news last month ahead of the ceremony, which is due to take place in March.

Paul said: “This is a really special moment for everyone involved in Aftersun. To be recognized by the Academy is a crazy honor and I’m so grateful.

“I want to dedicate this nomination to my two friends, Charlotte and Frankie, whom I love very much! It’s bananas, thank you!’

After receiving the incredible news, the star looked absolutely delighted.

Shortly after the nominations were announced, Paula’s emotional sister Nell, 19, shared photos of the moment on her social media.

Nell posted a screenshot of a video call between her family as they learned the news together, and everyone looked equally thrilled.

She then shared a picture of just Paul with a beaming smile on his face.

The “Normal People” actor was sitting on the sofa, wearing a black T-shirt and jeans, with a phone in his hand.

Nell also shared the full list of Best Actor nominees on her Instagram Stories, which of course included her brother’s name.

This comes after he was also nominated for a BAFTA for the same role.

In 2021, he won the British Television Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Connell in Normal People.

The nominations were announced by Riz Ahmed and Alison Williams ahead of the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 12.

Pavel joins British and Irish nominees Colin Farrell, Bill Nighy and Andrea Riseborough, who won Best Actor and Actress.

The star-studded Academy Awards, to be hosted by talk show host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel, will take place on March 12 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
