SCVNews.com | The SCV Chamber launches a revised Committee of Ambassadors

The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced the launch of its newly reorganized Committee of Ambassadors. The committee will be chaired by former chairman Troy Hooper and will consist of members of the House from a variety of industries.

“I am pleased to chair the revised Committee of Ambassadors and look forward to working with the group to increase membership, re-engage past members and support our business community,” said Hooper, chairman of the Committee of Ambassadors. “Serving as the Chamber’s ambassador will be not only an honor but also a significant experience representing such an amazing business community and a strong Chamber of Commerce.”

The revised Committee of Ambassadors will be limited to one member of the House from each branch. Their term will be one year with the possibility of extension. The ambassador’s role will be to promote the SCV Chamber and the business community, provide feedback on what the community needs, and make recommendations on what will contribute to the mission’s mission and vision, among other functions.

“The SCV Chamber is strong thanks to its members, and we look forward to a new committee of ambassadors to demonstrate this strength and the vibrant, diverse business community we have in the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Ivan Volshenko, President / CEO. SCV Chambers. “We could not have come up with a better man to head the committee than Troy Hooper, who over the years has shown excellent leadership and support from the SCV Chamber”

The SCV Chamber is the largest business member organization in the Santa Clarita Valley, representing more than 65,000 people. The Chamber acts as the “Voice of Business”, which operates as SCV’s leading business advocacy organization in the third largest city in Los Angeles County. Founded in 1923, the Chamber works to uphold, educate and engage the business community.
