LOS ANGELES (AP) – A second wave of winter storms has brought to California more short-term rains and snow, as well as warnings for motorists on mountain roads.
Weather forecasters advise people planning a trip to the mountains to be prepared for snowy conditions in the Sierra Nevada, Cascades and ridges north and east of Los Angeles.
Weather forecasters say that on Saturday evening and Sunday morning on the far north coast there may be widespread disadvantages.
California ended the first week of March with a blast of wet weather after dry weather in January and February, leaving the Sierra snow cover much lower than normal.
