The low-pressure system will approach the West Coast this weekend, bringing a stronger flow to land, cooler conditions and a deeper sea layer, National Weather Service said Friday.

A strong gusty westerly wind is expected in the mountains and deserts early next weekend.

A A wind report has been issued in some areas of San Diego County from noon Saturday to 6 p.m. Monday.

High temperatures on Saturday are forecast from 67 to 72 off the coast, 73 inland, 76 to 81 in the valleys, 72 to 81 in the mountains and 98 to 103 in the deserts, the weather agency said.

Warming is expected in the middle and end of next week, but it remains uncertain how fast and how much, forecasters say.
