A deadly stab wound took place in January near Porterville.

Investigators said they found Giovanni Abujalil in the SUV and Julio Abujalil’s body in the back seat. When they told Giovanni Abujalilu to get out of the car, he refused.

In the end, the deputies managed to disperse the situation and take him into custody.

At the time of the arrest, officials said Giovanni Abujalil had recently been released from prison after being convicted in 2019 of ill-treatment of the elderly.

He now faces life in prison for killing his father. He will be sentenced on June 6.
