Moving to Californiathe global pandemic and family tensions kept Harry and Megan apart royal family for two and a half years, and the distance became apparent today as the royal family shared their congratulations on the birthday of the couple’s son Archie.
The guy will celebrate his third birthday today at home in Montecito with his parents and younger sister Lilibet.
To mark this event, the queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, and Kate, and William simultaneously shared their greetings on social media, but in the absence of family reunions they were forced to use identical photos that were last year.
The toddler, who is seventh in line to the throne, was last in the UK in the autumn of 2019, before the Sussex left to spend Christmas in Canada, and travel restrictions due to the pandemic prevented a planned visit.
The royal family’s Instagram account shared a story congratulating Archie on her birthday, sharing this photo, which was first published shortly after Archie’s birth in May 2019.
Meanwhile, a more informal message from Prince Charles reads, “Happy Birthday, Archie,” accompanied by heart-shaped emoticons, with a photo taken at Archie’s christening in 2019.

In the accompanying black-and-white photo, Harry looks at Archie in his baptismal robes, and the proud grandfather, Prince Charles, looks at him, smiling.

However, it remains to be seen whether fans will get a fresh look at the toddler today.
