The shooting erupted near a local Walmart, injuring two and leaving one victim reportedly fleeing to the mall in blood.

The shooting took place in a desert area near Walmart in Victorville, CaliforniaMonday morning.

Victorville police are still investigating what led to the shooting that left two injured.

This was reported by a Walmart employee VVNG that the man ran to the store, saying he had been shot, and visibly bleeding, and asked for help.

An ambulance helicopter landed on an empty field near the mall to take one person to hospital, the newspaper reported.

A second person with less serious injuries was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

Officials found a handgun believed to have been used in the shooting.

Victorville police have not yet identified the suspect.

In San Jose on Monday morning, two people were injured in a shooting near the campus of San Jose State University.

According to San Jose police, one man received a life-threatening injury and the other injured woman received non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials are currently searching for an unidentified suspect.
