A cuddly dog or cat can make a great Valentine’s Day gift, and Stanislaus Animal Services has dozens to choose from.

But shelter workers are also looking for single people who need to settle scores by dumping on the ex who dumped you.

For a $25 donation, your ex’s name will be added to the shelter’s litter boxes on Valentine’s Day.

What’s more, the shelter plans to post pictures of the felines going about their business on their Facebook page. It will also be broadcast live from the “Cat City room.”

“For a donation of $25, we will ask our Pupitens residents to donate their best number 2 to your former number 1,” the shelter said in a statement Facebook page. “Go to stanislausanimalservices.com, to donate $25 or more and put the name to be defiled in the notes section, then sit back and let our kitties demonstrate your disgust for you.”

Shelter Executive Director Vaughn R. Morris said that while the cats will be doing all the dirty work, proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit all of the shelter’s animals.
