Barstow, CA (VVNG.com) – On Tuesday afternoon, many motorists were stuck on the western I-40 in Barstow due to a tractor-trailer fire for about 30 minutes.

The report of the truck fire was received at about 14:04 on May 17, 2022 on the I-40 in a westerly direction near Cape Gloucester Avenue.

For reasons still to be seen, a black cab pulling a trailer with an unknown number of flights of latte tea exploded.

Barstow Fire asked the CHP to close westbound traffic on the MCLB until half-burned to the ground.

No one was injured, the cause of the fire is being investigated.
