
Travis Scott ‘set to turn himself in for questioning by NYPD after ‘he punched sound engineer’
Battle rapper Travis Scott will turn himself in to NYPD investigators next week after being accused of assaulting a sound engineer at a posh Manhattan nightclub early Monday morning.
Scott, 30, is accused of punching a 52-year-old man in the head and then damaging his equipment, including a video screen and speaker, worth about $12,000 at Nebula nightclub.

Mark, the sound engineer who was attacked by Scott, says his neck was “sore” after the incident.

“I tried to tell him to come down [the music] so it sounded good for the performance, but he just stuck his middle finger in my face,” Mark added. “So I put the monitor down a bit to talk to him and then he ran around the speaker and attacked me.”
Scott’s bodyguard then threatened Mark’s life, he said from his hospital bed at Jersey City Medical Center.
Before the attack on Mark Scott, he is accused of threatening and pushing the DJ. Video from the club shows Scott telling the DJ to “support.” Witnesses said the volume caused distortion and the DJ tried to restore balance.
As soon as he realized he was being filmed, he also snatched the phone out of the fan’s hands.
Mark seems to have been confused by the rapper’s actions. “They’re people who tried to sound as good as they could,” he said, addressing Scott.
“There were fans trying to take pictures, you throw their phones, you know – these are people who respect you, who wish you well. Maybe you should calm down and listen to what the people who support you are telling you,” he added.
Scott insisted the police call to the nightclub was a misunderstanding after a “great show” despite being seen lunging at a DJ, punching a sound engineer in the face and throwing a fan’s phone to the ground .
Scott performed with Don Tolliver, who has a weekly slot at the Nebula Club, early Wednesday morning.

Mark gave an interview to Fox New York from his hospital bed, in which he said he was just trying to give the audience the best possible sound.

“There was also a verbal dispute at that location that resulted in $12,000 worth of equipment damage. At this time, no warrant has been issued and the suspect is not being sought. However, that could change,” a spokesperson told DailyMail.com.
Scott’s representatives insist it was all a misunderstanding.
“Negotiations took place with venue representatives who confirmed it was a simple misunderstanding which was resolved within minutes. The show was great and never missed a beat.
“This has the hallmarks of a money grab, but it will be dealt with and anyone with an agenda will be held accountable.”
“Travis and our team are already working with law enforcement to resolve and get to the truth,” the source said.
His attorney, Mitchell Schuster, added in a statement: “While this is clearly a misunderstanding fueled by clickbait and misinformation, we are actively working with the venue and law enforcement to resolve and correct the situation.
“We are confident that our client will be cleared of any wrongdoing.”

A source close to Jenner told DailyMail.com about the latest nightclub incident: “Travis’ anger issues are nothing new and they were a big reason why he and Kylie broke up.
“She is such a peaceful and quiet person, and he was the opposite. She couldn’t handle it anymore.”
