BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — United Way of Kern County is partnering with Citizens Business Bank to host a free resume building workshop at the UWKC office on Thursday, September 22nd.
The seminar is designed to help job applicants learn how to emphasize their qualifications, target employers, and create an attractive resume that will help them stand out in the eyes of hiring managers.
In the resume workshop, participants will learn about writing and creating your resume, general guidelines for presenting your qualifications, key resume elements, and proper resume language and formatting. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice their skills with a mock interview.

“Professional development is key to the future of our community, and Untied Way of Kern County is committed to helping our future leaders,” Adame said in a statement.
The resume building workshop is free to attend and will be held at 4:00 pm at the United Way of Kern County office on the third floor at 1707 Eye Street in downtown Bakersfield. Participants may bring a copy of their current CV if available.
