When will my container be empty? North Ayrshire Council confirms changes to collection dates

Read Time:1 Minute, 21 Second

North Ayrshire Council has now confirmed when they will catch up with the delayed household waste collection on Monday 19 September.

Those due to empty bins earlier in the week had to wait as the service was canceled so staff could pay their respects on the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral.

In an initial statement, the council said it would notify those who missed the collection when that waste would now be collected.

They confirmed those dates this afternoon, September 22nd.

First of all, those Irvine residents who were supposed to empty their gray bins on Monday should now drop them off for collection on Saturday, September 24th.

Those in Stevenston, Saltcoats and Ardrossan who missed their purple bin collections should also submit them on Saturday.

In the Garnock Valley, anyone who has missed their blue bin collection must submit it from Monday 26 September – from then collections will run until Friday 30 September.

The same principle applies in West Kilbride in relation to missed purple bin collections. These must be presented on Monday to be collected between then and Friday 30 September.

Although all boroughs except Sklemore have their brown bins to be emptied, they must be submitted from Monday 26th September – from then on the collection will take place until Friday 30th September.

This also applies to all areas awaiting rural narrow assembly.

Catch-up collection of commercial waste will take place from Monday 26 September to Friday 30 September.

North Ayrshire Council is asking that all bins are at the kerbside by 7am so they are ready for collection.
