A 22-year-old woman is in custody Saturday after she allegedly stabbed two men, including her boyfriend, during an argument in San Diego’s East Village neighborhood.

Police arrested Isabelle Lovelady for the stabbing, Officer Robert Heims said San Diego Police Department.

Officers were called at 10:23 p.m. Friday to 14th Street and Imperial Avenue, where they learned a 19-year-old man had allowed the suspect to use his cell phone. After she refused to give it up, a physical altercation ensued and the suspect stabbed the victim several times in the back, Heims said.

The suspect’s boyfriend came over to help her and was stabbed in the arm in the process. The victim and the boyfriend were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Heims said.

Detectives from the Department’s Central Division are investigating these stabbings, and anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call 619-744-9500 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
