Comedian and actor George Lopez is coming to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in 2023 – Press Telegram

Comedian and actor George Lopez will give a tour of the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

He will speak on February 25. Tickets start at $59 and go on sale Friday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. fantasyspringsresort.com.

Lopez began his career in stand-up by embracing his Latino identity and using his comedy to challenge racial stereotypes. He produced four HBO specials, The Wall, It’s Not Me, It’s You, Tall, Dark and Chicano, and Mexican American. In 2020, he released a comedy special on Netflix called We’ll Do It in Half Time.

The comedian found success on television with the success of his ABC show George Lopez, which ran for six seasons. The show is a sitcom in which Lopez stars as a fictional version of himself raising a family in Los Angeles, and deals with themes of class and race. Lopez also wrote and directed a TV show. Since then, he has had other roles in films such as The Tax Collector, El Chicano, and Valentine’s Day.

From 2009 to 2011, Lopez hosted a late-night show on TBS called “Lopez Tonight” and made history as the first Mexican-American to host an English-language late-night show.

Lopez has a new NBC sitcom, Lopez vs. Lopez, about a blue-collar family starring his real-life daughter Mayan Lopez, premiering on November 4, 2022.
