Following a building moratorium in 2008 prompted by the need for essential levee improvements, construction activity resumed in 2015, setting the stage for a rapid surge in property values. Lundquist elaborated on this, stating, “With the Natomas area, on average, the houses were built in 2003 as opposed to 1980 or so,” highlighting the substantial room for further expansion and development.
City Councilor Karina Talamantes, representing the area, expressed her enthusiasm for Natomas’ continued growth trajectory. “New schools, brand new parks, brand new homes, apartments to rent – we have new housing developments across the street from this Costco,” she declared proudly.
