“Today, the world is a much darker place without the love and light of Leslie Jordan,” the actor’s representative, David Shaul, said in a statement. “Not only was he a mega-talent and a joy to work with, but he was an emotional refuge for the nation during one of its most difficult times. What he lacked in stature, he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner and human being. Knowing that he left the world at the peak of both his professional and personal life is the only consolation that can be had today.”
It is not yet clear what led to the collision.
The details of the incident are being investigated.
