Kanye West has lost his billionaire status after Adidas pulled the plug

Kanye West is no longer a member of the ten-figure club – he lost a fortune as a result of adidas pulling the plug … not to mention other partnerships that have been cancelled.

Forbes made it official on Tuesday … saying that Ye has lost his billionaire status after Adidas ended its partnership with the guy. While Adidas alone may not technically have torpedoed his billions — they say it’s a combination of several deals, including Gap, that fell apart recently — Forbes notes that it was a HUGE chunk of his wealth and the final nail in the coffin.

Now – after all this fallout – Forbes says KW is worth around $400 million. That’s a significant drop from a couple of years ago, when his net worth was estimated at about $1.3 billion, taking into account most of his government assets.

Most of Kanye’s wealth now comes from a few select sources, according to Forbes, including real estate, cash, his music catalog and 5% of stocks Kim KardashianBrand’s Skims.

It’s unclear how much of his money was wiped out by Adidas alone, but you have to imagine it was worth a pretty penny … considering the company says it’s losing nearly a quarter of a billion dollars in net profit by cutting her/his shoes in this fourth quarter alone.
