Kanye West: No longer a billionaire after weeks of hateful tirades!

Read Time:3 Minute, 17 Second

Earlier this week Kanye West has said he’s too rich to be canceled.

Now, it looks like the rapper and fashion mogul was wrong about that — which isn’t too surprising considering he’s basically been wrong about everything, all the time.

on tuesday morning West was dropped by Adidasa company that had is producing his very popular Yeezy sneaker line.

The announcement follows news that famed fashion house Balenciaga has also severed ties with Ye.

Kanye West in action
Kanye West is still very rich, but he’s nowhere near as rich as he once was.

Of course, even without these lucrative partnerships, Kanye is still fabulously wealthy.

But the latest news about his financial situation is likely to be a blow to West’s notorious ego.

According to A new report from ForbesKanye is no longer a billionaire.

In fact, Yeezy’s fortunes have dwindled dramatically in recent weeks, and his net worth is now estimated at just $400 million.

Clearly, the guy won’t be clipping coupons or subsisting on mayonnaise sandwiches anytime soon.

But that $400 million estimate represents a sharp decline from Ye’s career high, when his personal wealth was estimated at about $1.3. billion.

We think it’s safe to say the fall came as a surprise to West, who has long boasted that he’s so rich and famous he can’t be undone.

“I’m not losing money,” a boastful E told TMZ less than 48 hours ago.

“The day I got taken off the Balenciaga site was one of the freest days,” West continued, before confidently assuring the outlet:

“We’re here baby, we’re not going anywhere.”

In a statement released today, Adidas confirmed that the decision to cut ties with West was a result of the rapper’s recent hateful, anti-Semitic comments.

“Adidas does not tolerate anti-Semitism or any other form of hatred,” the company said in a press release.

“Ye’s recent comments and actions were unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

West tweeted about “going death con 3 [sic] about the Jewish people” three weeks ago, so it’s a little surprising (and infuriating) that Adidas waited so long to make this major move.

Perhaps hoping to make up for weeks of indecision, the brand made it clear today that it has no intention of working with Kanye in the future.

Picture of Ye
Kanye West is trying to look tough in this photo. We’re not sure it works.

“After careful consideration, the company has decided to immediately end its partnership with Ye, stop production of Yeezy-branded products, and stop all payments to Ye and his companies,” the spokesperson said.

“Adidas to End Adidas Yeezy Business Effective Immediately”.

The size of Kanye’s ego now cannot be overstated, and he probably thinks he’s on the mend from these latest setbacks.

But at this point, West is so toxic that no major brand in the world would risk their reputation by getting close to him.

And that will make it very, very difficult for him to regain his billionaire status.

It’s tempting to think that Kanye will learn a lesson from all of this — that he’ll see the error of his ways and begin the process of trying to make amends for all the damage he’s done to marginalized communities in recent weeks.

But unfortunately, he’ll probably be back to spewing hateful nonsense before the end of the day.
